Dallas ‘mansion’ with no bedroom, window mocked on social media

A creepy house in Dallas, listed for nearly $ 1 million, is getting noticed on social media for resembling a black CIA site – and because it doesn’t seem to have any bedrooms or see-through windows.

The 5,786-square-foot property at 13229 Southview Lane, built in 2000, looks like a large brick-style mansion from the outside. However, later listing photos show a single storage room divided by metal shelves that are lit with fluorescent tubes. To promote the prison theme, a glass security corridor greets you at the entrance and opens onto walls made of concrete masonry and gray carpeting.

The windows on the outside of the house are not visible from inside the house, leading some to believe that they were either boarded up or created just for display, while an electric wire mesh hangs over the single room. According to the offer description, the building is also connected to two electricity networks, has a natural gas generator and is supplied with two diesel tanks.

The spooky interior was recently picked up on by Zillow Gone Wild, an Instagram account that finds unusual posts around the world. Its 1.2 million followers soon joined in, with some from Dallas claiming it owned by local electricity company Oncor and used for energy planning in the city.

“How can we tell them that they can use this property for criminal activity without getting ourselves into trouble?” wrote others.

“A property like no other!” It reads without bothering to explain the discrepancies. “With concrete walls, floors and ceilings, this property can serve as the perfect storage location for large wine collections, art collections, multiple cars, as well as the ultimate safe home.”

Others made fun of the listing, claiming it was a torture chamber or facade to cover up criminal activity.

How can we tell them that they can use this property for criminal activity without getting into trouble themselves? ”Wrote @proper_posh_properties.

“What the hell is going on here?” wrote @ aopferman10.

The agent, Mark Cain with Compass, did not immediately return a request to clear up some of these secrets.
