Catch Point Rights Partners, an investment firm focused on the acquisition and financing of royalty and revenue streams for entertainment, has named Corey Sorrento an Investment Associate.
Sorrento joins the company from the media investment bank Shot Tower Capital, where he has worked on “numerous high profile acquisitions in the music industry” over the past five years, according to Catch Point.
Launched in 2020, Catch Point acquired music publishing and sound recording catalogs in a variety of genres.
Founded by senior executives in the music and private equity industries, Catch Point aims to provide “creative and flexible liquidity solutions for music rights owners”.
In this new role, Sorrento will focus on the assessment and due diligence of potential catalog acquisitions, as well as financial planning and analysis for Catch Point’s growing portfolio of music rights investments, according to Catch Point.
Sorrento will report to Catch Point co-founders and partners Richard Conlon, Patrick Riordan and PJ Miklus.
