Eagle Rock veteran Simon Hosken joins the livestream company PUSH LIVE as chief financial and operating officer

Live entertainment technology company PUSH LIVE has hired Simon Hosken as Chief Financial and Operating Officer.

Previously, Hosken was the COO and CFO of Eagle Rock Entertainment for Universal Music Group, a producer, publisher and distributor of music programming in live concerts and music documentaries, for 15 years.

Prior to joining Eagle Rock Entertainment, Hoskin worked for video game developer and publisher Acclaim Entertainment, as well as BSkyB, MTV and Price Waterhouse.

Hosken is joining PUSH LIVE after 12 months of “significant growth,” the company says.

PUSH LIVE delivered over 600 live events these months, including the outdoor music and dance festival EDC Mexico 2020 and a free multi-act stream for the Inside Lands festival with Gorillaz, Anderson .Paak and more.

PUSH LIVE also delivered Twitch’s Glitchcon, the London Football Awards, video game showcases for EA and Xbox and PPV live streams with artists such as Architects and Alejandro Fernandez.

Hosken will be responsible for growing PUSH LIVE’s global business in the future, the company said.

With his extensive experience in the music and games industry and his extensive knowledge of both sectors, Hosken will, according to PUSH LIVE, “drive the organization forward and help PUSH LIVE customers maximize their economic potential through live events”.

In his 15 years as CFO and COO of Eagle Rock, Hosken led the company through “significant growth” and “large funding rounds” and contributed to the 2014 sale to Universal Music Group.

He also oversaw the finance, commercial, business and legal teams, as well as the “digital transformation strategy”.

During this time, Hosken worked with some of the world’s most successful acts, from the Rolling Stones to Queen and The Who to Elton John and Madonna.

At Acclaim Entertainment, Hosken ran publishers and studios outside of North America, including Asia and Australasia, and helped the organization become one of the largest game publishers in the world.

“The pandemic only highlighted the power of live streaming, but we only touched the surface.”

Simon Hoskin

Simon Hoskin said, “After many years in the music and games industry, I have seen the impact technology is having on these sectors.

“As I was thinking about my next career move, I really wanted to join an organization that will be part of this ongoing disruption. The pandemic only highlighted the power of live streaming, but we have only touched the surface. “

“PUSH LIVE is about to do something amazing and I’m very excited to be joining at such a crucial time and being part of the company’s development.”

“We are constantly improving and improving the platform to take the organization to the next level.”

Phil Tucker

Phil Tucker, PUSH LIVE added, “PUSH LIVE is rapidly moving into the next stages of development and growth and we are constantly improving and improving the platform to take the organization to the next level.

“We are very pleased that a leading figure from the music and games industry is joining us in this transformative time and that the company and our customers can benefit from his unparalleled experience.”Music business worldwide
