The California Association of Realtors (CAR) announced Wednesday that it has partnered with RentSpree, a company that provides a platform for online tenant screenings and applications.
The new partnership enables CAR members to use and share CAR documents such as rental agreements directly on the RentSpree platform. In one statement, the relationship is described as “an integration that gives CAR members the ability to create a digitized rental process that makes the experience easier for members and tenants.”
The CAR document integrations are available to members of the organization who also use RentSpree at no additional cost.
In the statement, Michael Lucarelli, Co-Founder and CEO of RentSpree said he was delighted to be working with CAR, which he described as “one of the most progressive brokerage associations” and which has more than 200,000 members.
“We are very pleased to be working with us by providing standard CAR rental forms as part of our optimized rental process,” added Lucarelli.
RentSpree was launched in 2016 and today describes itself as a provider of “award-winning software” in connection with tenant screening and rental management. The company’s platform is available in the United States
Earlier this month RentSpree also expanded a program through which it works with several listing services.
In CAR’s statement on Wednesday, Jared Martin, chairman of CAR subsidiary Real Estate Business Services, said the new partnership with RentSpree can reduce the time it takes brokers to “complete a rental transaction by up to 50 percent.”
“We look forward to continuing to apply cutting-edge technology to critical real estate processes,” added Martin, “especially in the rapidly growing rental space.”
