Theresa Adebiyi joins Troy Carter’s Venice as director, audience and culture

Theresa Adebiyi has joined the Venice music and technology platform, Q & A’s newly launched software department.

The company was founded in December 2020 by Troy Carter and Suzy Ryoo and aims to “enable record labels to test songs, manage their artist lists and distribute music easily and efficiently”.

Adebiyi from London joins Matt Ott, who heads the UK department and is VP, Artist Development and Strategy throughout the company worldwide.

Adebiyi joins the company from Partisan Records, where she worked as creative director and project manager on global album campaigns, executing creative instructions and content.

Partisan’s roster includes Grammy-nominated artists Fontaines DC and Laura Marling, IDLES, Femi Kuti, Made Kuti, Cigarettes After Sex, and more.

Previously, she was Creative Marketing Manager at Ninja Tune for four years, working on campaigns for Young Fathers, Little Dragon, Maribou State, the Cinematic Orchestra, Jordan Rakei, the Actress and Roots Manuva.

Previously, she was label manager at Lex Records for five years, which released a wide range of music and film projects including MF DOOM x Clarks Originals, BADBADNOTGOOD and Ghostface Killah’s Sour Soul album. The writer Alan Moore and the director Mitch Jenkins supported the film series The Show in part from Creators Project / Vice.
