Corcoran is celebrating its one year anniversary as a franchisor with a trip to the Virgin British Islands. The company announced on Thursday the launch of Corcoran BVI, the first franchise company outside the US for the young franchisor.
“The British Virgin Islands are one of the most beautiful in the world and I am thrilled to see Corcoran BVI as our first global subsidiary ushering in the next phase of our collective growth,” said Pamela Liebman, President and CEO of The Corcoran Group, said in one Explanation.
“The islands’ unique positioning attracts customers from around the world looking for a real haven. Expanding our reach to another established second home market will continue to create exponential opportunities for our network of agents and customers.”
David Johnson, a 30 year old real estate veteran and entrepreneur, will lead Corcorvan BVI as chairman. Johnson is the founder of a real estate agent in Bay Harbor, Michigan. and is an international real estate developer now operating in the British Virgin Islands.
The broker will serve Oil Nut Bay in the North Sound of the British Virgin Islands and will have a branch of development which, according to a press release, will “create unique living environments that exist in ecological harmony with the land”.
The broker will open its doors on February 25, 2021.
“Corcoran has been a leading real estate brand for nearly 50 years and we are excited to be its first global franchisee,” said Johson. “We knew that aligning with Corcoran was the right choice given its leading market position, the synergy between our lifestyle brands and their spectacular leadership position.”
For Corcoran, the new franchise concludes the company’s first year as a franchisor. The largest of these is Corcoran Global Living, the largest franchise office.
Corcoran now has more than 90 offices and 4,000 affiliated agents.
