The company improved its reputation from 2020 when it received the top franchise in the real estate category, but only the third franchise overall.
The independent real estate franchise NextHome was named the top franchise in North America in 2021, franchise research firm Franchise Business Review announced on Thursday.
In 2020, the Flexible Spending Model Fragment was named the # 3 overall franchise while receiving the top franchise in the property category. At that time, CEO James Dwiggins told Inman that the company’s goal would be to one day achieve that overall rank – this year they achieved just that.
“To be ranked # 1 Franchise Business Review by Franchise Business Review is an incredible achievement, and all thanks to our members and the excellent staff at the company,” Dwiggins said in a statement. “Without their hard work and passion to make a difference in the real estate industry, NextHome wouldn’t be where it is today. Our “people over houses” philosophy is supported in every decision we make as a franchise. Receiving this award confirms that we are going in the right direction for our members and is why we love what we do every day. “
This is the 16th year Franchise Business Review has rated the top 200 Franchise Opportunities based on independent surveys of franchisee satisfaction and performance. Questions include topics such as satisfaction with training and support, operations, franchisor-franchisee relationships, financial opportunity, and others.
Only two other real estate franchises have secured a spot in the top 15 franchises, including Keller Williams (No. 2) and Sotheby’s International Realty (No. 12). Weichert Real Estate and Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate also made the overall top 50 list at 16 and 42 respectively.
Other franchises that took first place in the real estate category in 2021 include United Country Real Estate, Showhomes Home Staging, JPAR Real Estate and Help-U-Sell Real Estate.
To be included in the leaderboard, franchisees must register to be interviewed by Franchise Business Review by a deadline, usually September. This year, over 300 franchise brands representing more than 28,000 franchise owners participated in Franchise Business Review’s surveys.
In 2020, Keller Williams announced to Inman that the company had missed the entry deadline this year, while Sotheby’s was number 2 in real estate, Weichert was number 3, and Better Homes and Gardens was number 4.
“There are thousands of successful franchises in North America, but many of these companies do not provide a solid investment opportunity for actual franchise owners,” Eric Stites, CEO of Franchise Business Review, said in a statement. “As an independent research firm, we evaluate the franchises in the market today and identify those who have the highest levels of satisfaction and performance among their franchisees in order to educate potential buyers and help them choose the franchise they want to invest in. This year’s franchisee The winners of the Satisfaction Award really are the best of the best. “
In October NextHome launched its new luxury brand “The Casan Collection”. The franchise now has 480 offices and 4,400 agents in 48 states and completes over 29,000 transactions valued at over $ 8.2 billion annually.
