The luxury brokerage company is now involved and has a seat on the board of directors of the exclusive real estate network.
Luxury real estate agent Hawai’i Life has joined the exclusive luxury real estate network Forbes Global Properties as a founding member, the company announced on Monday.
Forbes Global Properties was launched in December as a “curated consumer market” that connects discerning buyers directly with the best homes in the world and the elite agents they represent, “the company said via email to Inman at the time.
The website targets luxury homes over $ 2 million, although that number will vary by location and about half of the “thousands” of listings on the website are international, according to the company. Brokerage Hilton & Hyland founder Jeff Hyland described the site as similar to Zillow for the Handover in an interview with the Los Angeles Times.
Brokers are invited to join the Forbes Global Properties member network and the size of the network is limited to an estimated 100 brokers. Each member has the exclusive right to use the Forbes Global Properties brand in their market.
“We’re typically looking for companies that specialize in luxury sales, have strong reputations in their markets, and are top companies by sales volume,” FGP CEO Alex Lange told Inman in December. “We also take into account owner dynamics and how a company fits into our exclusive network. In short, the selection process is tailor-made. “
Lange said Forbes Global Properties is primarily owned by “a handful of agents worldwide” as well as Forbes, but declined to name the agents.
“Our first sources of income are contributions from our members and fees from brokers in non-member locations to promote and showcase their outstanding properties,” said Lange.
“As the exclusive global real estate partner of Forbes, we license the Forbes brand and offer branding and marketing services to our members. Members are allowed to use the Forbes Global Properties brand in their local markets and benefit from exclusive access to our advertising and marketing services. Over time, we will introduce additional revenue streams that will come from the qualified traffic the site is expected to generate. “
Hanalei-based Hawai’i Life has 333 agents in 18 offices and had sales of more than $ 2.17 billion in 2020, according to a press release. According to Real Trends, Hawai’i Life was the 184th largest broker in the U.S. last year, based on 2019 sales of $ 1.49 billion.
“Nobody can match the range and exposure of Hawai’i Life,” Hyland said in a statement. “You are in a class with the best management in the business. There was no need to contact anyone in the state. “
Hawai’i Life is FGP’s exclusive agent member in Hawaii, is now involved in the network, and its CEO, Matt Beall, now has a seat on the network’s board of directors.
“Hawai’i Life will leverage Forbes’ global reach and audience of more than 100 million monthly visitors to provide the company with an additional platform on which more discerning buyers, sellers and real estate enthusiasts can join its luxury offerings across the state.” so the broker company said.
