Los Angeles-based B2B music licensing market, Songtradr, has promoted David McConnell to Chief Technology Officer.
McConnell joined Songtradr in February 2020 as Director of Technology Architect and quickly moved to the role of VP of Architecture in July 2020.
McConnell has 15 years of software architecture and development experience in a variety of industries.
In his new role as CTO, McConnell will oversee all tech and engineering teams at Songtradr.
Prior to joining Songtradr, McConnell worked for NantHealth building a robust document exchange product that enabled safe collaboration between patients and healthcare providers.
He is an expert in designing distributed systems using modern cloud technologies with a special focus on automation, continuous delivery, modern authentication protocols and infrastructure as code.

Last month, Songtradr acquired the award-winning Sydney-based music and sound design company Song Zu, which operates in the Australia and Asia Pacific region with studios in Sydney and Singapore.
