Elsa Vivero has been promoted to the newly created position of General Manager / Executive Vice President, Global Commercial Services at WEA, the Label and Artist Services division of the Warner Music Group (WMG).
The highly regarded music manager will continue to be based in New York and report directly to Maria Weaver, President of WEA.
In her expanded role, WMG says Vivero will “drive all of the core commercial marketing and distribution functions that are critical to the distribution of music to fans around the world”.
She will continue to work closely with digital partners to improve the global presence of WMG labels and artists – including through playlisting, joint campaigns, editorial opportunities and strategic planning.
In addition, Vivero will physically expand its remit and oversee physical account management and marketing services.
Since joining WMG in 1988, Vivero has held various positions in the company, including EVP, Global Digital Account Management.
In addition to WEA, she worked in sales and marketing positions at Maverick Records, PolyGram and Warner Music Latina.
